The wrongest trend of thought analyzes PROPHECY...
There is this would-be viral video consisting of pseudo-historical study that attempts to convince you that ancient prophecy is nothing more than a succession of rewrites adapted to the whims and taste of the latest omnipresent culture...
Zeitgeist tries to tell all myths are the same - and that, basically, the Promise God Made to humanity is but a fairy tale? Such a conclusion can only come from the small minds that have still not fully assimilated the Reason why Jesus made the sacrifice that He Made. These small minds have also never seen the evidence around them that proves not only that God Exists, but that His Promise was meant to come in the form of A Son, not the sun but since He Created ALL THINGS, He certainly could leave clues, signs, visible manifestations in His Creation of the Way things would progress - spiritually! The small minds behind this "zeitgeist" do not see any of that; they do not even see the hand of the adversary in all of their accumulated "evidence" - nor do they see the evidence of the adversary's very existence, all about us... Heck - they do not even mention him at all, being such apt instruments of his machinations, here:
Horus, Attis, Krishna, Dionysus (!), Mithra, Odin, Baal (!!!), Adonis, Prometheus of Caucasus, the Divine Teacher of Plato and all the rest "susbscribe to these general characteristics" - BUT NONE OF THEM FULFILLED PROPHECY QUITE THE WAY JESUS DID.
For none of them had a PURPOSE TO THEIR DEATH AND RESURRECTION quite like Jesus Did!
The Way Is The Messiah, The Christ - and He Died for the sins of humanity.
Did Horus do that? Did Krishna do that? Did Dionysus do that?!?
For crying out loud, people - Baal is the name of a demon! How can you not see the IMPOSTURE here? The IMITATION - of what was known -by the adversary- TO BE COMING...
It takes too much foresight, too many brain cells, too much imagination - DOES IT?
An adversary that exists since the dawn of time and is privy to all the details of The Plan - would he not plant misinformation, all manners of it, along the way, in order to discredit The One, when He Did finally Come to Earth...?
Wouldn't it be *your* strategy?
Now, if you think to discredit this entire scenario by targeting the very existence of such an adversary -the devil; you realized who we were talking about here all along, right- disengage that process immediately.
Because *you know* he exists.
Evidence is even more irrefutable that evil exists, that the evil one exists - than the evidence of a Creator and of His Plan for our redemption.
For we are unworthy.
That we have allowed the adversary to influence us so much throughout the ages, despite our knowledge of his existence, is unforgivable.
Yet - Our Lord, Creator of all, gives us a chance.
And, of course, the adversary (known by so many names, one of which is Baal indeed) wants nothing more than ruin our chances there - any chances that we might have in life, verily...
The Chance of Redemption - most especially.
Seems like he -the adversary- succeeded in effectively ruining any chance that the guy(s) behind this zeitgeist thing might have had - ever. In their efforts to piece something together, they analyzed everything wrong and created correlation where they had to see fabrication - but to see that, they required imagination, which they horrendously lacked. They wanted to piece together characteristics particular to a period of time: yet they fail to see how disjointed it all is, for it is not a single time that they are analyzing but several eras of paganism flavored with mere hints of the truth. This is not the "spirit of the time" at all - it is merely a tapestry of many abominations through the ages that are known to have been transvestiting the Known Prophecy of the Coming of a Messiah; and to fall for such a plethora of false messiahs (and there will be more before the True Messiah Returns) is pathetic indeed.
DO NOT BE LIKE THESE UNIMAGINATIVE IDIOTS.
I say to you today - BELIEVE.
You will not be deceived, nor disappointed.
You will be Saved.

Aye, here are but a few elements from my LUMINOUS REFORM PLANS...
* RENTAL PROPRIETY REGULATIONS
No longer would just any schmoe off the street be able to acquire property without being duly and meticulously PREPARED to do so - I am sure that, due to my long list of pre-requirements, the schlocks seeking only to make a fast buck off anyone willing to pay any price just for the luxury of having a roof over their heads, would get discouraged and give it up!
This plan would create JOBS - those of trainers for this NEW BREED OF LANDLORD WITH A CONSCIENCE, A HEART AND EVEN A BRAIN - THE BREED OF THE FUTURE! And those of inspectors also, who'd check on the few graduates and the pre-program landlords, mostly, to make sure they are NOT misbehaving in accordance to my new set of very rigid rules...
For instance - they would each select a SPECIALTY - and not be able to rent to anybody outside that established customer-base. Mixing and matching only makes for TROUBLE - you cannot expect the elderly to live nextdoor to bums! You can rent to bums - but then, your entire building will be BUMS ONLY! Capisce?
And just so that everyone gets the same prices, the bums would not be found paying lower rent than the elderly or low-income families - even if they are in a dump! Bums deserve dumps - agreed? Cool.
* TRADITIONAL JOBS REFORM
I would also re-establish some ancient job definitions that have, quite erroneously, been thought of as too archaic and even obsolete in recent years...
The Apothecary sounds SO MUCH BETTER, for instance, than the "druggist" or even pharmacist... The former retains a dignified aura that the more modern terms simply have not; and, besides, whenever "drug" is a part of the name, the mental image of a street pusher comes to the fore... That tarnishing is beyond repair now.
Also on my list: every artisan profession you can think of! For there will be an accrued demand for "hand-made products" when the New Earth arises from the ashes of the old, polluted, dilapidated one...
Last but definitely not least, an elite corps of new municipal workers would be established to further help cleanse the community - yes, you've guessed it, I proclaim the return in full force of the WITCHFINDER GENERAL position - along with his three, four or five deputees (up to a maximum of seven! A nod at my old Luminous Equation, aye; "Three Musketeers + Four Horsemen = Luminous Magnificent Seven!)
* WHATEVER AREA OR FACET OF LIFE IT IS - NO MORE JUDGING THE BOOK BY ITS COVER!
Ah, but the problem with this one is that most folks who preach for this STILL DO IT! Everyone, even I, is a prisoner to his senses and chief among those are the eyesight, to make a quick overview-type of evaluation, and the sense of hearing also, for the very same reasons... We are too quick to evaluate someone based upon the way he or she looks and sounds - whether a prospective employee or a prospective "mate"! We classify as "good" what is not, and vice-versa! So, I propose a radical change in proceedings here, one that will take much effort and call for the utmost DISCIPLINE just in order to "stick to it"...!
We have to evaluate through a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH THOROUGH AND RIGOROUS set of criteria; and this in a manner devoid of any prejudice, discrimination of any kind and favoritism/nepotism also, of course.
If we can achieve that, my son(s) (and daughters!) we will have become A MAN! Or a woman. Make that AN ENLIGHTENED SOUL - there!
I am not holding my breath for most of you peeps out there, though!
